The governor of Nigeria's central Kaduna State, Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa, has been killed in a helicopter crash along with five other people, including a former national security advisor. The navy helicopter, which was on its way to Port Harcourt, came down in Bayelsa State in the oil-rich southern delta region. A spokesman for Nigeria's National Emergency Management Agency said rescuers had been sent to the crash site.
