　　4.2.1从语音角度选择

　　?对话中，或在短文中，说话人总是带着一定的语气、语调、重音来陈述的。因此，如果对语音有一定程度的掌握的话，可以从中找到线索，选择出正确的答案。如：

　　W: I think I will take the half day tour of the city.

　　M: Why not the whole day?

　　Q: What does the man suggest?

　　A)Spending more time on sightseeing.

　　B)Visiting the city with a group.

　　C)Touring the city on a fine day.

　　D)Taking the man with her on the four.

　　在这组对话中，女士在谈自己的一次旅行计划。男士提出建议。从语调上看，明显是升调，语气温和，重点落在whole这个单词上，以突出与上文half day的区别。因此，很容易答案A。

　　4.2.2从语法结构角度选择? 如：

　　M: Professor Kennedy has been very busy this semester. As far as I know he works until mid-night. every day.

　　W:I wouldnt have troubled him so much if I had known he was so busy.

　　Q: What do we learn from the conversation?

　　A)The woman has trouble getting along with the professor.

　　B)The woman regrets having taken up much of the professors time.
