　　7. no more than 有两个意思,平时看到最多的应该是仅仅,只不过比如

　　His whole school education added up to no more than one year.

　　He is no more than a puppet.

　　但是如果no more than拆开用,变成no morethan意思就不大一样了,相当于 neithernor的意思

　　Jack is no more diligent than John.杰克和约翰谁都不勤奋.

　　not more than如果连用也是表示至多,不超过的意思

　　Not more than 1,000 people attended the lecture.

　　但是要是拆开用变成not morethan的形式,就表示不如,前者不如后者的意思

　　比如例句:

　　It is not more a river than a stream.

　　如果直译应该是---把它当作河 把它当作小溪----它还不如比作小溪恰当呢!

　　8. make the most of::充分利用 How to Study and Make the Most of Your Time

　　make the best of : 将不利之事充分利用 How to make the best of a bad situation.

　　9. in the least: 一点点,丝毫 Are you in the least interested in sewing?

　　10. a marked man 引人注目的人 the marked difference 显著差别

　　Marked和remarkable在表示意思显著的时,可以通用,但是remarkable因为是able结尾还有值得注意的这个意思
