be meant to

结构︰主词＋be meant＋to-不定词

说明︰此句型意为是有意要；是命中注定要。be meant to V有时变成be meant for N。

Some TV programs are meant to be watched today and forgotten tomorrow.

有些电视节目的用意是要今天观赏，明天忘掉。

He believes he is meant to be a great man. 他相信他命中要成为伟人。
