8. keep down

控制;使不升起;使留级;吞下药物;

[例句]The prime aim is to keep inflation down.

首要目标是抑制通货膨胀。

9. keep off

(使)不接近;禁食;(雨、雪等)没有下;避开某一话题;

[例句]I managed to stick to the diet and keep off sweet foods.

我努力做到了只吃规定饮食，不沾甜食。

10. keep up

保持;不减弱，(天气)持续不变;保养;(使)不倒下;保持不衰退;

[例句]She shook her head and started to walk on. He kept up with her.
