The Falconets of Nigeria on Sunday qualified for the 2010 FIFA U-20 Women World Cup later this year in Germany.
The Nigerian defeated their South African peers Basetsana 7-0 in the second leg qualification match played at the Abuja National Stadium.
The South Africans lost 5-3 to Nigeria in the first leg played in Pretoria on Feb. 13.
Speaking after the match, Egan Ndem, the head coach of the Falconets, promised to work harder to prepare the team for the World cup.
"I will work harder in all the areas of the team," he said. "I have to do a better job because I know when we get to the World cup we are going to see a different ball game."
The coach said he had already drawn up a program to engage the team in friendly matches against teams like France and England.
On his part, Joseph Mkmonza, the head coach of Basetsana, said the Falconets were a superior team.
"The hot weather here also contributed to our inability to stand the Falconets," Mkmonza said.
The Nigerian opened scoring in the second minute through Ebere Orji, who also scored the second goal of the game.
The team dominated the game with the third and fifth goals scored by Glory Iroka, while the fourth goal was netted by Gloria Ofoegbu.
The sixth goal was scored by Ugochi Oparanozie while the seventh was slammed home by Uchechi Sunday through a penalty kick.
