Former Inter Milan striker Adriano announced Thursday to return to Italian Serie A, joining Roma from Rio de Janeiro's Flamengo.
The 28-year-old Brazilian, who has been left out by national coach Dunga alongside with stars like Ronaldinho and Ronaldo, was reported to leave early next month for Roma on a three-year contract.
Back to his hometown Rio in April 2009, Adriano, leaving Inter with alcohol and depression, had led Flamengo to its first Brazilian championship in 17 years and topped the scoring board of the league.
