Argentine striker Kun Aguero on Saturday committed his future to Atletico Madrid.

The striker arrived back in the Spanish capital on Friday after flying in from Buenos Aires where he had been relaxing after the World Cup finals.

His performances over the last two years and in South Africa have made the striker the target for various clubs, such as Chelsea and Manchester City, but Aguero says he has no desire to leave Atletico.

Although Atletico disappointed in last season's BBVA Primera Liga, Aguero played a key role in their triumph in the Europa League and in their reaching the final of the Spanish Copa del Rey.

"I am very happy to return to Madrid to start work again and I am back to keep on doing what I did before, that's to say to fight to win titles," he told Saturday's edition of sports paper Diario AS.

"Atletico Madrid is my home," he insisted, before turning his attention to the European Supercup, which Atletico will play against Champions League winners, Inter Milan.

"I hope we can win the Super Cup, we are really excited by the prospect and are working hard for that match," he said..

Aguero also spoke about the decision taken by the Argentine Football Association to not retain Diego Maradona, his father in law, as national team coach.

"I am sad about it, as are all of us who wanted Maradona to continue as our coach, but football is like that and the decision has been taken," he said.
