Real Madrid legend Alfredo Di Stefano left hospital this Saturday after a week undergoing treatment for a heart complaint.
The 84-year-old was taken to hospital on July 24 after suffering a moderate cardio-respiratory imbalance.
Doctors were worried as the Argentinean, who played for both the country of his birth and Spain at international level, had previously suffered a serious heart attack in December 2006.
Real Madrid's honorary president Alfredo Di Stefano (L) and Portuguese soccer legend Eusebio during Real Madrid's new Portuguese soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo's (C) presentation at Santiago Bernabeu stadium in Madrid, July 6, 2009.
However, Di Stefano has responded well to treatment and according to the Real Madrid website he was able to begin his holidays.
Di Stefano, who later coached Real Madrid, is famous as the man who led his side to six European Cups between 1957 and 1964.
