Sevilla bounced back from the disappointment of being knocked out of the Champions league in midweek with an easy 4-1 win away to newly promoted Levante.

Coach Antonio Alvarez will breathe a bit more easily after watching his side come from behind before cruising to a comfortable victory against a side that looks destined to struggle against relegation.

Levante was looking to celebrate its return to the top flight with a win and the Valencia based outfit got off to a perfect start.

Cigarini handled a free kick into the Sevilla penalty area and Ruben Suarez scored the resulting penalty after just ten minutes.

Sevilla were level just two minutes later: a well worked corner ended up with Jesus Navas shooting against the post and Konko was on hand to score from the rebound.

The home side appealed for offside, but television replays showed the referee, Perez Lasa, had made the correct decision.

He got it wrong on 27 minutes, however, Cerra brought Diego Perotti down just outside the Levante area, but the referee awarded Sevilla a penalty which Alvaro Negredo made it 2-1 to the visitors.

Konko scored his second of the night after 62 minutes and with Sevilla totally in control Renato made it 4-1 with a header three minutes from time.

Meanwhile Valencia enjoyed a perfect start to the season with a 3-1 win in Malaga.

New signing Aritz Aduriz opened the scoring for Valencia with a stunning header after just nine minutes following a corner kick taken by Ever Banega.
