Real Madrid remain top of the BBVA Primera Liga in Spain after thrashing Racing Santander at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored four goals as his side handed out a lesson in football against a team that came looking for a 0-0 draw and which was rewarded with a humiliating defeat.

Real were 3-0 up at half time as Racing were caught out time and again with long balls over a five man defense.
