Chinese Super League soccer club Dalian Shide has signed South Korean defender Kim Jin Kyu, the club confirmed on its website.
Dalian, eight-time champions of the Chinese top flight, inked the contract with Kim on Monday but no more details were revealed so far.
Kim, turning 26 next month, has been capped 41 times with three goals for South Korea. He previously played for Seoul club in K-League after his one-season stint with J-League team Jubilo Iwata in Japan between 2005 and 2006.
"Kim is a player in his prime time and with great ability," said Dalian on its website.
Kim will join his compatriot striker Ahn Jung Hwan and midfielder Jub Kwang Jin in Dalian to kick start his Chinese journey.
The team will leave for Kunming in southwest China on Tuesday for the winter training camp.
