　　Recently， an earthquake measuring 8.0 on the Richter scale jolted Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province in southwest China, resulting in many deaths. Unfortunately, we cannot prevent an earthquake from happening, but if we identified potential risks ahead of time and made advance planning, many lives would be saved. So this is the reason why our school has decided to invite experts to give a lecture. It will involve how to protect yourself and guarantee your safety before, during or after an earthquake. It starts at 2 pm, May 18 in the great hall and lasts about one and a half hour. All the students are required to take part in the lecture on time. Besides, paper and a pen are also needed in case you write down some important points. I hope everyone present will benefit a lot from it.
