　　The World's Cultural Heritage

　　Saturday marked the third annual Cultural Heritage Day in China.A series of events has been held in the capital， Beijing， to promote the protection of the nation's cultural heritage.Our reporter Chen Zhe has the story.The opening ceremony for the events to promote cultural heritage was held at the Capital Museum in Beijing in the morning.

　　In an interview with CRI after the ceremony， Zhou Heping， Vice Minister of Culture， said the key to cultural heritage protection is to provide favorable environment for folk artists.

　　“Intangible cultural heritage stemmed from ordinary people and was developed by those who inherited it.We have

　　established a group of training institutes and have cultivated almost 800 acquirers of different artifacts.In addition， we've created a favorable environment for acquisitions and offered preferential economic policies for cultural heritage workshops and repositories.”

　　Zhou Heping also expressed his concern over the protection of local cultural infrastructure in Sichuan Province.Dozens of museums and training institutes there collapsed during the May 12 earthquake， and many artifact acquirers were killed.
