　　Russian Rocket Puts European Satellite Galileo into Planned Orbit

　　The first satellite of the European system of global positioning, Galileo, launched from the Russian Baykonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on 28 December, has been successfully put into planned orbit with the help of a Russian Soyuz-FG rocket carrier, Russian news agency ITAR-TASS reported the same day, quoting Roskosmos, the Russian Federal Space Agency.
