　　She assisted her sister with her lessons.她帮助妹妹做功课。

　　用法拓展assistance为名词，意为“帮助，援助”。

　　assistant作名词时，意为“助手，助理”；作形容词时，意为“副的，辅佐的”。

　　come to one's assistance 援助某人

　　give sb.assistance/give assistance to sb.给某人以帮助

　　I will give/lend assistance to them.

　　我要帮助他们。
