　　①They suggested putting the meeting off.他们建议推迟会议。

　　②I suggest that he shouldn't/not drive too fast.

　　我建议他不要开得太快。

　　③It is suggested that the meeting be ended at once.有人提议立即散会。

　　易混辨析advise与suggest

　　两者意义和用法基本一致，常可换用，但表示“建议某人做某事”时，可以用advise sb.to do sth.，不可以用suggest sb.to do sth.。

　　医生建议他马上戒烟。 The doctor advised him to give up smoking right now.（√）

　　The doctor suggested him to give up smoking right now.（×）
