　　时间状语从句

　　例：Once printed, this book will be very popular. (Once printed = Once it is printed)

　　这本书一旦出版的话，必将非常流行。

　　While in Shanghai, he paid a visit to me. (While in Shanghai = While he was in Shanghai)

　　他正当在上海时，特意来看我。

　　As a boy, he began to sell newspapers on the street to make a living.

　　( As a boy = As he was a boy)

　　当他是个孩子时，就在街上靠卖报纸来生活。

　　I may make mistakes when speaking English.

　　（ when speaking English = when I’m speaking English)

　　我在讲英语时会不时地出现一点儿小错误。

　　条件状语从句

　　例：If so, you must go back and get it back.( If so = If it is so)

　　如果是那样的话，你直接返回把它拿回来。

　　Unless repaired, the watch doesn’t work.( Unless repaired = Unless it is repaired)

　　这只表不能修的话，那就用不了。

　　Call me if necessary. ( if necessary = if it is necessary)

　　如果有必要的话，请给我打电话。

　　方式状语从句

　　例：They came together as if to attack me.( as if they did this in order to attack me)

　　他们聚众而来好像就要围攻我。
