Nowadays many young Chinese are crazy about celebrating Christmas even though they know very little about its meanings and origins，while they appear less concerned about some Chinese traditional festivals.
With the development of culture exchange，we might as well celebrate western festivals，especially Christmas.I believe that it can help us know more about
western
cultures，thus
improving
the understanding between countries.However，the enthusiasms for western festivals should not go too far.After all，it makes no sense for Chinese people to be crazy about foreign festivals without knowing their meanings.Moreover，traditional festivals are a very important part of our culture，which is not only a way of showing Chinese social life，but also a good way of passing on our culture.Therefore，I think that we should attach more importance to the celebration of traditional festivals.I consider it wise of our government to have passed a regulation to choose some traditional festivals as public holidays.
