When coming across an English new

　　word, an increasing number of middle

　　school students tend to consult an electronic dictionary to find out its meaning and usage. Using an electronic dictionary does provide students with convenience and meanwhile saves time, which helps raise learning efficiency. However, if students become too dependent on the electronic dictionary, they will surely lose the opportunity to guess the meaning of a new word according to the context.

　　Personally, I think sensibly using an electronic dictionary can make it easier for us students to learn English and arouse our interest in English study. Meanwhile, it is my suggestion that students should avoid the harmful effects of overusing the electronic dictionary and learn to apply what we have learned to guessing the meaning of a new word. 课外作业

　　While the quality of life is better and better, the generation gap between the young and the old is widening and the reasons are as follows. For one thing, the young and the old grew up in different surroundings and their life experiences vary greatly, which result in the differences in their hobbies and attitude towards life.
