　　too …to … 太……以至于不能……，表示否定(可以用so …that…来改写)。 原句可改写为： …many of them thought that Marco's stories about China were so fantastic that they were not true. The book is too difficult for him to read. (＝The book is so difficult that he can not read it.) 这本书对他来说太难读了。 【温馨提示】 若too 后面跟下列词时，该结构不表示否定意义。 …too ready (anxious / eager / easy / willing, etc.) to do…中的too相当于very, extremely, particularly(很，太，非常) They were too anxious to leave.他们急着要离开。 ①too …not to do “太……而不能不”，表肯定。 You are too angry not to say it. 你在气愤之下，不免会说出这样的话来。 ②not/never too…to… “并非太……而不能”，表示肯定。 It is never too late to learn. [谚]学习在任何时候都不会晚。(活到老，学到老。) ③can not/never…too…无论怎样也不过分 You can't praise Einstein too much. 你无论怎样赞扬爱因斯坦都不为过。
