　　It’s very likely that she’ll ring me tonight.

　　她今晚很可能打电话给我。

　　It’s unlikely that it will rain.

　　天不可能下雨。

　　(2)be likely to do

　　He is likely to ring me tonight.

　　他今晚很可能会打电话给我。

　　It’s unlikely to rain.

　　天不可能下雨。

　　(3)比较likely,possible,　probable

　　likely从表面迹象来看很有可能

　　The likely outcome of the contest varies from moment to moment.

　　比赛结果可能每分钟都在变化。

　　possible强调“客观上有可能”，但常含有“实际希望很小”的意思。

　　It is possible to go to the moon now.

　　现在有可能登上月球。

　　probable语气比possible强，指“有根据、合情理、值得相信的事物”，可能性很大。

　　I don’t think the story is probable.

　　我觉得那故事不大可能。

　　三个词都可以用it作形式主语

　　It is likely/possible/probable that....

　　但是s. is likely to do

　　It’s possible/probable for sb. /sth. to do...,而it is likely for s. to do则是错的。
