　　Homeschooling is the education of children at home, usually by parents, rather than in a formal public school setting. Due to its various advantages, homeschooling is now widely practiced in the United States.

　　Personalized learning is definitely one of the advantages of homeschooling. Too often in our public schools a lesson has to be repeated many times before moving on even though your child may understand the problem, while homeschooling gives your child the opportunity to skip things that he has already mastered. On the other hand, there is a possibility that your child may not completely grasp a math concept. Then homeschooling may provide the opportunity to repeat necessary issues. Therefore, homeschooling can meet your child’s individual needs for the speed of study. Besides, some children learn best in the morning, in the afternoon or in the evening, and homeschooling allows you to work out a learning schedule that will best work for your child.

　　Additionally, most public schools have a single teacher to care for a class of many students because of the low student-teacher ratio (比例), which results in lack of attention given to each child, while in a homeschooling environment a child gets the undivided attention of the parent/teacher and thus is able to understand academic issues at a better level as well as a faster pace. As the children can ask questions at just about any time without having to worry about other students, they can move on confidently with their problems solved.
