　　There is no cure available for the disease and AIDS patients have to deal with the fact that they might die young．Unfortunately, a deadly disease such as AIDS also frightens others．All too often，people treat AIDS patients as if they were bad or dangerous．

　　????? Because of a lack of knowledge about how it gets transmitted，there are a great many people who have contracted AIDS in China and the number is increasing．The disease does not keep them from enjoying their life．?

　　In order to prevent the fast spread of AIDS, we high school students must realize how harmful AIDS is． We should be strict with ourselves and keep away from drugs ．Besides, we shouldn’t look down upon those AIDS suffers． What they need is care and love from society．

World AIDS Day: 1st December 1991年，以纽约画家帕特里克和摄影家艾伦为首的15名艺术家成立了一个叫做“视觉艾滋病”的组织，希望创造一种视觉象征，以示对艾滋病患者的同情。艺术家们选择了代表生机、激情和鲜血的红色作为丝带的颜色，倡导尊重艾滋病患者人权，推广预防艾滋病的社会公益活动，并很快在全世界流传开来。在此后的一次世界艾滋病大会上，艾滋病病毒感染者和艾滋病病人齐声呼吁人们的理解，一条长长的红丝带被抛向会场上空，支持者们将红丝带剪成小段，用别针将折叠好的红丝带别在胸前。红丝带从此成为艾滋病防治的象征，它象征着对艾滋病病毒感染者和病人的关心和支持，象征着对生命的热爱和对平等的渴望，象征着要用心来参与艾滋病防治工作。
