　　四、让步状语从句

　　让步状语从句由though(although), even if(even though), no matter how/where/what..., whatever, however, whoever等引导。

　　Although the car is old it still runs well.

　　汽车虽然很旧，但跑起来仍然不错。

　　No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't get her to change her mind.

　　不管他怎么努力劝说，也没能使她改变主意。

　　解析：本题考查状语从句的连接词。由主从句的结构可知，两者之间为转折关系，故应用although引导该从句。if“如果”；unless“除非；如果不”，两者均引导条件状语从句； as“因为；当……的时候”，引导原因状语从句或时间状语从句，作“尽管”讲引导让步状语从句时该从句常用倒装结构。句意：尽管有规律的锻炼很重要，但睡觉前锻炼绝不是一个好主意。
