Two refused the Nobel Prize：Jean-Paul Sartre from France was awarded the 1964 Nobel Prize in Literature．but he refused the prize because he had consistently refused all official honors．

　　Vietnamese Le Doc Tho was awarded the 1973 Nobel Peace Prize jointly with Henry Kissinger，the U．S．Secretary of State(国务卿)．They received the Prize for negotiating the Vietnam peace accord(协定)．Le Doc Tho said that he couldn’t accept the Prize，giving as his reason the situation in Vietnam．

　　The work of the International Committee of．the Red Cross(ICRC)(国际红十字会)has been honored by a Nobel Peace Prize three times．The organization’s founder．Henry Dunant。was awarded the first Nobel Peace Prize in 1901．

　　“Family Nobel laureates”：In some families there have been more than one person receiving the Nobel Prize．The laureates could be married couples，mother and daughters，father and sons，father and daughters，or brothers．As you may notice，the Curies were a very successful“Nobel Prize family”．Marie Curie herself was awarded two Nobel Prizes．
