　　大厅里挤满了那么多的人以至于我看不到那位明星。 so many people that 【记一记➡构建知识】 so. . . that在本句中引导结果状语从句。在英语中的so. . . that和such. . . that都可以用于引导结果状语从句, 是高考的两个重要考点。其句式有:

　　(1)so+adj. /adv. +that. . .

　　(2)so+adj. +a(n)+单数名词+that. . .

　　(3)such+a(n)+adj. +单数名词+that. . .

　　(4)such+adj. +复数名词/不可数名词+that. . .

　　*English is used so widely that it is one of the languages at international conferences.

　　英语的应用如此广泛以至于它是国际会议上使用的语言之一。 *He made such careless mistakes in his work that the boss fired him.

　　工作中, 他犯了如此大意的错误以至于老板把他解雇了。【拓展延伸】 (1)so. . . that和 such. . . that的倒装:

　　在so. . . that和such. . . that引导的结果状语从句中, 当so和such位于句首时, that之前的主句部分要用部分倒装结构, 此时, so之后接形容词或副词, 而such则是要以名词为中心。例如:

　　So difficult did he find it to finish the task that he decided to give it up.

　　他发现很难完成这项任务, 于是决定放弃。 Look, such fashionable clothes is she wearing that all the eyes are fixed on her.
