　　【句法分析】

　　句中使用了“be doing...when...”句式，意为“正在/正要做某事，这/那时(突然)……”，其中when作并列连词相当于and then，and at that time，连接两个并列分句，其前面分句的谓语动词常用过去进行时，而后面分句的谓语动词多用一般过去时。
