　　【教材原句】It_was_a_time_when the killer whales，or“killers”as they were then called，helped the whalers catch the baleen whales that were on their annual migration.那个时期，虎鲸(当时被称为“杀手”)帮助捕鲸人在每年须鲸迁徙时捕捉须鲸。

　　【句法分析】

　　It's a time when...句型中，when引导定语从句，a time表示“一段时间”，when也可以替换成at/during which。time后跟定语从句的情况还有：There's a time when...意思是“有一段……的时间”。It's(high/about)time that...did/should do...表示“是……的时候了”，注意虚拟语气的使用。
