　　not only...but also...表示“不但……而且……”，通常可以连接两个并列的谓语、宾语、表语、状语等，还可以连接两个并列的句子。

　　1not only A but also B＝B as well as A

　　2not only...but also...连接两个分句时，若not only位于句首，not only所在的分句要部分倒装，but also后面的分句不倒装。

　　3not only...but also...连接并列主语时，谓语动词要遵循“就近一致原则”。

　　4not only只能连用，而but also既可连用，也可分开用，also也可省略。

　　(1)Yet through his painstaking efforts，he changed not only his own fate but also the history of America.

　　然而通过这些艰苦的努力，他不但改变了自己的命运也改变了美国的历史。

　　(2)Not only do I like this movie，but my mother also likes it.

　　不但我喜欢这部电影，我的妈妈也很爱看它。
