Shanghai Museum

　　The scope(范围), depth and quality of its historical collections make Shanghai Museum the top museum of ancient Chinese art. It houses over 120, 000 rare cultural pieces.

　　But before you step in, the exterior(外部的)design of the museum is its own piece of art. The round dome(圆屋顶)and square base symbolize the ancient idea of a round heaven and a square land.

　　The museum is especially well-known for its collection of bronze pieces. The exhibition room displays more than 400 beautifully decorated bronzes(青铜器), from wine and water vessels(器皿)to musical instruments and weapons.
