W:Hello,Tim.It’s a pleasure to be interviewed.I suppose you are interested in how I make friends with animals.I’m quite ready to answer your questions.

　　M:It’s very kind of you.The first question I want to ask you is,how long have you been living with monkeys?

　　W:Apes actually.Well,I’ve been studying apes for quite a long time,ever since I was in university.But I’ve only been actually living with them for five years.

　　M:Five years in the African jungle,with only Apes to talk to.That’s fantastic! And I know you’re going back to your Ape colony to finish your work.

　　W:Oh,yes.I haven’t finished it yet.Although I have been recording their behavior and watching their movements very closely,I still haven’t finished my work.

　　M:Well,I suppose living in the jungle with apes is really a difficult job,isn’t it?

　　W:Yes.Actually,I have undergone lots of hardships.But once you get used to it,life is easier.And gradually you will like it.

　　M:That’s why people call you the modern apewoman.

　　For most Americans,clocks and watches are very important.They are always aware of them.In the morning some people have to get up when it is still dark.Others sleep through several hours of sunlight.But both groups wake up when they hear their alarm clock ring.When they get dressed and eat breakfast,they listen to the radio,and the radio tells them again and again exactly what time it is.
