　　We are having a discussing about reading classics in our school. The majority of students in our school think reading classics can help us know about some cultures and customs all over the world in old times. And it can also cultivate our minds and improve our characters. Besides, we can learn something useful from classics because they have something to do with our life today. However, some students think it isn’t necessary for us to read the classics because the language used in classics is quite different from that used today, which makes them difficult to be understood. They also think the classics are old-fashioned and boring.

　　In my view, it is necessary to read the classics in our spare time. Because it can’t only enrich our knowledge we can’t get in our daily life, but also enables us to obtain the food for the spirit about the ancient cultures. Meanwhile, we can care about nature and society by reading classics, so I like classics very much.
