　　When I was young, I was very shy. I didn't dare to speak in public. When the teacher asked me to answer a question, I was always too nervous to answer it, which made me very sad.

　　One day, the teacher asked me to come to his office, where he told me to recite a text. I recited it fluently. The teacher praised me and told me I would recite it the next day before my classmates. I told him that I was too nervous, but he insisted that I should do it. The next morning, I was asked to recite the text that I had prepared. Although I did poorly, the teacher praised me very much. I was so proud of myself that day.

　　After that, I was frequently praised before my classmates and began to gain confidence. I tried even harder and the teacher praised me more. Eventually，I overcame my shyness. It was the teacher's praise that made me become a better student.
