　　The Spring Festival Gala Evening is really a great event for many Chinese people．But in recent years，some people have doubted whether it is necessato hold it．There was a lively discussion in Ningbo Evening’ English edition about this issue．

　　The advantages of holding the Spring Festival Gala Evening lie in the following aspects．Firstly, family members get reunited to watch it．Also．it allows people to participate in the party．What’ more，the programs are linked to people’ daily life，which makes them happy．However，others think that it should be dropped because it lacks creativity and people are tired of it．What’ worse，more and more commercial programs have taken the place of high quality ones，which has made people lose interest．

　　Personally，I hope it will continue．After all，it has been a tradition for many years．But the style and content should be reformed and recreated．
