　　以s结尾的人名的所有格加’s或者’ Dickens’ novels；Charles’s job；the Smiths’house 表示各自的所有关系时，各名词末尾均须加’s Japan’s and America’s problems；Jane’s and Mary’s bikes 表示共有的所有关系时在最后一词末尾加’s Japan and America’s problems；Jane and Mary’s father 表示“某人家”、“店铺”，所有格后的名词常省略 the doctor’s；the barber’s；the tailor’s；my uncle’s 2. of所有格的用法 (1)用于无生命的东西：the legs of the chair；the cover of the book。 (2)用于有生命的东西，尤其是有较长的定语时：the classrooms of the first－year students。 (3)用于名词化的词：the struggle of the oppressed。特别提醒： 1．并列的名词变所有格时，若表示不同的所有关系，则分别在两个名词后加’s；如果表示共有关系，则只在最后一个名词后加’s。如： Kate and Mary’s room凯特和玛丽共有的房间 Kate’s and Mary’s rooms凯特和玛丽各自的房间 2．下列情况下，可以将所有格后面的名词省略： (1)名词所有格所修饰的词如果前面已经出现过，往往可以省略，以免重复。如： This bike is not mine，nor Tom’s.这辆自行车不是我的，也不是汤姆的。 (2)表示店铺或某人的家时，名词所有格之后的shop，house，home等常省去。如： at the doctor’s (office)在(医生的)诊所里 at the barber’s (shop)在理发店 at Mr.Green’s (house)在格林先生家五、名词作定语表示时间、地点、材料、用途、类别、性别等的名词常可用来作定语 London Airport伦敦机场，summer holiday暑假，a gold chain一条金链，a coffee cup一只咖啡杯，a weather report天气预报，a girl friend女朋友名词作定语时一般用单数形式，但在个别情况下仍需要用复数 a goods train货车，careers guidance就业指导，a savings bank储蓄银行，a customs officer海关人员，a sales manager销售经理，a sports centre体育中心含有名词的合成词作定语，其中的名词用单数形式 a five－pound note一张五英镑的钞票，a six－minute walk六分钟步行，a seven－year－old girl一个七岁的女孩，an eight－storey building一幢八层的楼，a three－foot table一张三条腿的桌子 (wo)man作定语修饰名词复数时应变为(wo)men a man doctor→two men doctors；a woman’s dress→three women’s dresses 名词作定语与名词所有格作定语的区别谢谢观看！第一讲
