　　As we all know, a terrible earthquake happened in Japan on March 11, 2011 Beijing time, in which tens of thousands of people were injured or killed.

　　If we know some common knowledge of surviving an earthquake, we can save our lives. The following are the tips for you when you come across an earthquake.

　　If you are outdoors, just lie on the ground and be sure to keep away from buildings. Don't have to run around or it can throw yourself down. The earthquake may put any buildings to the ground and something falling down will injure you.

　　If you are indoors, try to go outside.

　　But if you don't have enough time, staying inside is possibly safer. Hide yourself under the table or other firm furniture, which not only provides the protection to you, but also a big breath space.
