　　tend vi.趋向；易于be likely to do；照顾；vt.照顾；护理care for

　　tend sb.照顾某人

　　have a tendency to do sth.有做某事的倾向

　　Janet tends to get very angry if you disagree with her.

　　你如果不顺着珍妮特，她往往会大发脾气。

　　The nurse skillfully tended the injured soldiers.

　　护士熟练地护理着那些受伤的士兵。

　　用tend的适当形式填空

　　(1)You have a tendency to avoid an argument.

　　(2)During the second world war，Henry Beecher was a doctor tending soldiers on the battlefield.

　　(3)My uncle is a short man with a carefully tended moustache.

　　I decided that it was time I became an Internet user.我觉得是我成为互联网用户的时候了。

　　(1)It is/was (high/about) time that...表示“该是做某事的时候了”，在that从句中要用虚拟语气，即谓语动词用动词的过去时或should＋动词原形(should不可省略)。
