　　consult用作“请教；咨询；查阅”解时，是及物动词；作“商量”解时，多用作不及物动词，后跟with sb.，意为“和某人商量”。

　　[词义辨析]　consult，refer to，look up

　　都可以用来表示“查阅、参考”的意义，但是其宾语有所不同：

　　consult (refer to)＋a book/dictionary/encyclopedia，etc.

　　look up sth.in a book/dictionary/encyclopedia，etc.
