　　(1)用breath短语的适当形式填空

　　①We held our breath while Mr.Evans read the exam results.

　　②When he dashed back，he was already out of breath.

　　③While climbing up the stairs the old man always loses his breath.

　　(2)Eric came running into the room，out of breath (气喘吁吁的).

　　leave用作使役动词，意为“使……处于某种状态”。

　　leave＋宾语＋名词/形容词/副词/介词短语/过去分词/现在分词/whereclause表示“使……处于某种状态”。

　　leave sb.to do sth.放手让某人做某事

　　leave sth.to be done留下某事待做

　　leave...as＋it/he/she/they＋is/are听任……自然发展

　　If I leave it much longer，I might miss my chance.

　　如果我使它停的时间过长的话，我可能会错过我的机会。
