　　attempt 常指一次的而不是继续的尝试往往暗示这种尝试达不到目的。后接不定式表示“试图做某事”。

　　try 意为“尝试试用”含有通过各种方法尽力把事情做好或达到目的之意。后接不定式表示“努力做某事；企图做某事”；后接形式表示“尝试做某事”。

　　manage 后接不定式强调成功地做了某事。manage to do sth.＝succeed in doing sth.。【活用】A——用适当的介词填空(1)Two factories were closed ________ an attempt to cut costs.
