【点拨拓展】flee v. [ no passive ] , flee (from) sb./sth.

　　 flee (to…/into…)迅速离开；（尤指害怕有危险而）逃避、逃跑。例：He was caught trying to flee the country. 他企图逃出国时被抓住了。 He fled to London after an argument with his family. 他与家人争吵以后离家去了伦敦。

　　escape v. & n.

　　①逃跑，逃走 escape from sb./sth.

　　②(从不愉快或危险处境中)逃脱，逃避

　　escape the clutches of winter 躲过了寒冬的魔爪

　　③避开,避免(不愉快或危险的事物)escape punishment / being punished

　　④被忘掉,被忽视,未被注意Her name escapes me. = I can’t remember her name.

　　另外escape常接doing.

　　run away逃跑，逃走

　　run away (from sb. / sth. ) 突然离开,逃离

　　run away from sth. 避开,躲避,回避 e.g.

　　You can’t just run away from the situation.

　　这事你没法回避.

　　escape多表示逃跑后的结果（如未被捕获），并不指逃跑的动作；flee表示逃跑的行为本身，常含有因“惧怕”而逃跑的意味；run away多用于口语，指不让人知道，有时含有“不辞而别”的意味。如：We all escaped being punished by the teacher.
