　　You gave me such a fright. 你吓了我一跳。

　　9.【点拨拓展】take on词组中，若人做宾语，即take sb on，意为雇佣，聘用；与某人较量，反抗。若物作宾语，即take sth on，意为呈现，具有（特征、外观等）；承担；装载。例：

　　She was taken on as a trainee. 她受聘当实习生。

　　The rebels took on the entire Roman army. 反叛者与整个罗马军队战斗。

　　I can not take on any extra work. 我不能承担任何额外工作。

　　His voice took on a more serous tone. 他说话的语气变得严肃起来。

　　The bus stopped to take on more passengers. 公共汽车停下来让其他乘客上车。
