我想请教下，embarrassed、embarrassing 和 awkward 这三个词的区别，我在网上查找，关于它们的应用区别好多，分辨不开，有的是形容人的，有的是形容物的；有点晕。

英语中有不少形容词有同样的词根，但是结尾是 -ed 或者是 -ing，多数情况下 -ed 结尾的形容词可以用来描述一个人的感受 feeling，以 -ing 结尾的形容词则常用来形容引起这种感觉的事物 causing the feeling。就像 embarrassed 和 embarrassing 这两个词，它们的词根同为 embarrass。Embarrassed 是一种感受，表示心里的感觉 a feeling。 根据语境可以用来形容一个人或一群人感觉尴尬、难为情，不好意思、害羞的状态。Embarrassing 多数情况下是用来形容那个让人觉得尴尬，难为情，丢脸或不好意思的事情或人。

我给大家举一个简单的例子。
