Eggs sizzle in SH heat wave

When the temperature hits nearly 40 degrees Celsius, some creative Shanghainese took the opportunity to fry some eggs on the scorching ground instead. An egg was half-cooked within 15 minutes on a stone fence around the Bund, at noon on Aug 4, 2017. According to the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau, Shanghai has experienced 10 days of continuous high temperatures, hitting a scorching peak yesterday of 39.2 degrees Celsius.
