Practical and pragmatic “实用的”两个词的区别

What’s the difference between these two words ‘practical’ and ‘pragmatic’? 虽然这两个形容词在中文翻译中的意思相似，但是英语语境的现实生活中，practical 经常出现，而 pragmatic 却很少用到。它们之间的区别究竟有哪些？还是用例句为大家做最好的解释。
我们先来看一下 practical 这个词，根据语境在中文里的意思是“实用的，实际的，务实的”。比如，当我们说“在英国，出门最好带一把伞，这是非常实用的，因为随时都有可能下雨。In the UK, it’s practical to take an umbrella with you, because it could rain at any time. ”，这个例句中的 practical 的意思是“实用的”，这是我们最常使用到的一个意思。接下来的几个例句虽各有细微区别，但大都基于这个含义。

I prefer to wear clothes that are practical rather than fashionable.
对于穿着，比起时尚型的我更喜欢穿实用型的。
The new open plan kitchen looks great, but it’s less practical when it comes to cooking.
