　　Dear Mr. President,

　　I'm more than delighted to learn that some of us students will have an opportunity to study in the UK as exchange students for two months. I am desperate for it, so I'm writing to apply for the chance to study abroad.

　　In the first place, my parents strongly support me for they hold the firm belief that studying abroad can broaden my horizons and they can afford all the expenses there. Secondly, my good command/ knowledge of English enables me to communicate with others freely. And that I am outgoing and helpful makes it easy for me to adjust / adapt to the new surroundings as well as fit in well with / get on well with foreigners.
