MADRID, May 5 -- The 36th round of games in the Liga Santander saw two sides confirm their relegation to the second division, while Getafe strengthened their case for a place in next season's Champions League.
FC Barcelona rested their entire starting 11 from last Wednesday night's Champions League semifinal against Liverpool as they lost 2-0 away to Celta Vigo on Saturday.

Jesus Valleco netted Madrid's other goal after latching onto a deflection, while Gerard Moreno and Jaume Costa scored for the visitors, who still need a win in order to ensure they will be in the top flight next season.
Getafe beat Girona 2-0 to take a big step towards assuring fourth place and Champions League football for next season.
