WASHINGTON, Jan. 1 -- Stephen Curry scored 34 points and Kevin Durant had 25 as the Golden State Warriors beat the Phoenix Suns 132-109 on Monday for the 17th straight time.
Curry shot 5 of 9 from downtown as the Warriors was 14 for 28 on 3-pointers. Deandre Ayton had 25 points and 10 rebounds. T.J Warren scored 24 points and Devin Booker added 20 for the Suns, who have lost five of the last six games.
The two teams tied the game at 45-all in the second quarter before the Warriors closed out the half on a 24-7 run. The Suns trimmed the deficit to 72-82 in the third before a 3-pointer and two free throws from Durant helped the Warriors take control again.
