WASHINGTON, Dec. 12 -- Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant said on Wednesday that he expects to win a third straight title with Golden State and get his statue in the team's history.
"I know for a fact that we'll all get our jerseys retired if we can win another championship this season. We'll probably all get statues here in front of the fans," Durant said.
"We'll be Bay Area legends forever, meaning that people will recognize this team and this run forever in this area. Steve Kerr is going to be immortalized and he'll be a legend forever," he added.
Golden State won three titles in the past four seasons, including two straight titles from 2016-1018. Durant, who joined the Warriors in 2016, has been the major contributor to these two titles.
He said: "I think about 50 years from now when they have our whole team on the floor, all the fans will be cheering for us and reminiscing on those days."
